Our journey to exotic Asia begins! Awaiting our flight to Bangkok via Bali (Air India flight AI112 21.30PM) at Heathrow T4. Airport life quite calm & things tend to go smoothly. We arrived a bit too early ie 5 hours prior to departure!

Here we are at the Thai airport landed safely with a stamp in our passports allowing 30 days stay. No signs of any flooding struggle so far apart from a couple of water reflections from the plane.

There is a free bus shuttle from the airport one level above train that'll take you to a bus station free of charge. From here we take 555 to Din-Daeng rd instead of cancelled 556 to Khaosan Rd (must be caused by flooding).34 baht + 10-17 baht others

Night life. We are exhausted after getting here but it's impossible to sleep and frankly it would be a waste of time :) BTW if you plan to get around by Tuk Tuk or taxi make sure you're charged by meter. Avoid other taxis cause they tend to rip off.

A bit of flooding by the river but the centre is fine and dry. Media in Europe are feeding us with incorrect news (not the first time). There is of course more flooding outside tourist zone yet to see. The main airport operate normal.

Queuing up with some folks going back home. Hopefully we won't get rejected by not having enough luggage to check in ;) Awaiting flight to Myanmar around 7AM so a sleep at the airport ahead of us (there is a good spot on the 6th floor.
